Achievements | I am a committed medical educator and examiner with extensive training in surgical disciplines and the basic medical sciences. Over the past decade, I have developed diverse experience in both clinical practice and academic teaching across the United Kingdom and Pakistan. My career reflects a continuous pursuit of professional growth, with achievements spanning undergraduate, pre-fellowship, and post-fellowship levels in the UK, and further consolidated at the post-fellowship level in Pakistan. Currently, I serve as Chancellor/ Professor Ibne Sina University, Mirpurkhas and Muhammad Medical & Dental College, and Hospital where I remain actively engaged in teaching and assessment within the disciplines of Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology. In addition to my leadership responsibilities, I have authored a substantial number of one-best-answer (OBA) MCQs in the basic sciences. My expertise, strengthened through formal training in MCQ-writing workshops, ensures the development of valid and reliable assessments that align with Bloom’s taxonomy and avoid common pitfalls such as ambiguity or misleading distractors. My experience as an MRCS examiner in the UK following completion of examiner training at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow has further refined my assessment skills. In Pakistan, I have served as both trainer and examiner for the College of Physicians and Surgeons and for the Master of Surgery program at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Hyderabad. With this background, I am confident in my ability to uphold the rigorous standards expected of MRCS examiners and to contribute meaningfully to the training and development of future surgeons. |
